| BUILDING AWARENESS OF ETHNO-CULTURAL COMMUNITIES IN PEEL Due to the overwhelming demand to increase understanding of the diverse communities in Peel MIAG Monthly Meeting is restructured to ‘Building Awareness of Ethno-cultural Communities’ training workshops. In each monthly workshop we focus on one of the main communities that reside in Peel to highlight community structure, reasons of immigration, values and traditions, family dynamic, and the best methodology to outreach to community members. Professional Speakers who represent each specific community are invited to share their experiences and knowledge about their own community. The outstanding attendance of service providers from the social and health sectors reflects the need to disseminate knowledge of multiculturalism. This has a ripple effect on the relationship between service providers and their clients, and a distinguished impact on the quality of service provided. Huda Abbas, Executive Director
