What we are providing
A powerful 2-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) that equips you with the confidence and tools to support someone at risk of suicide.
This internationally recognized program by LivingWorks offers hands-on, practical training to help you recognize warning signs, engage in meaningful dialogue, and guide individuals toward safety and healing.
Ideal for healthcare professionals, educators, counsellors, youth workers, social workers, first responders, and all caring community members.
What You will Learn
Participants will gain practical tools to:
- Recognize Risk: Identify personal and societal attitudes towards suicide and recognize signs someone might be at risk.
- Provide First Aid: Learn to have direct, open conversations about suicide and offer immediate, life-assisting help.
- Develop Safety Plans: Create a concrete safety plan with the person at risk to ensure their immediate safety.
- Build Networks: Understand how to connect people to available support and improve community prevention resources.
