Mental Health Awareness and Wellness (MHAW) Program:
Counselling Services
470 individuals accessed counselling services through referrals from our partner agencies. Clients receive services via phone, virtual, and/or in-person counselling sessions. This service helped clients access the support they needed to enhance their mental well-being.
MIAG has established partnership with several agencies to which referrals are sent. We assess the needs of the clients and completes the necessary referral forms, directing them to the appropriate counsellor based on their unique profile. These counselling sessions may be provided through phone, virtual, or in-person. Clients receive services that are client-centered that meet their needs.
Our counselling services are available free of charge to residents of the Peel Region, with no restrictions on gender, age, or immigration status. We also provide access to counsellors who speak multiple languages, depending on availability, ensuring that individuals receive support in the way that best suits them.
